Not a Firetruck

Inferma’s Big Dream

Once upon a time, in the charming town of Cedarville, there was a sleek black SUV named Inferma. Cedarville was known for its cobblestone streets, historic brick buildings, and the iconic Firebirds Wood Fired Grill that stood at the heart of the town square. The firetrucks that sped past Inferma every day were the town’s pride, with their shiny red paint and powerful sirens, always ready to rush to emergencies.

Every evening, Inferma would park near the Firebirds Wood Fired Grill, a favorite spot for firefighters to unwind after their shifts. It watched in awe as the firetrucks arrived, their engines rumbling with pride. Inferma felt a deep connection to these mighty machines and longed to be part of their world.

One night, as Inferma parked in its usual spot by the old town fountain, it noticed a bright yellow fire hydrant nearby. An idea sparked in its mind. “If I park here, maybe I can be a firetruck too!” Inferma thought, feeling a surge of excitement. With the red neon lights from the nearby shops reflecting off its shiny surface, Inferma felt like it was glowing with the same urgency and importance as a real firetruck.

Inferma imagined racing through the quaint streets of Cedarville, sirens blaring, ready to help anyone in need. It pictured itself spraying water from its hidden hoses, rescuing people from burning buildings, and being cheered on by grateful townsfolk. Inferma knew it wasn’t a real firetruck, but for that one night, it felt like it was part of something bigger.

As Inferma stood proudly by the fire hydrant, a group of firefighters approached. They noticed Inferma’s gleaming exterior and the determined look in its headlights. One of the firefighters, Captain Hernandez, smiled and said, “Look at this SUV! It looks like it wants to join our team.”

The other firefighters chuckled, and Captain Hernandez patted Inferma’s hood. “You know, Inferma,” he said, “you may not be a firetruck, but your spirit is just as strong. Sometimes, it’s not about what you are, but what you believe you can be.”

Inferma felt a warm glow inside. It might not have been a firetruck, but it had the heart of one. And from that day on, Inferma continued to park by the fire hydrant, feeling a sense of pride and purpose. It wasn’t just any SUV—it was Inferma, the wannabe firetruck with a big heart and even bigger dreams.
